If you are downloading free software, make sure that the website from which you initiate the download is completely trustworthy and read the offer document carefully before accepting any download. Installing a firewall to block any unauthorized party from sneaking into your data is also another good option. Although you cannot really be sure how and when you become a victim of some spying software, it is always good to be alert and work online carefully. Just if when you think you are getting tech-savvy by downloading latest software, you might be caught unaware by spyware that not only invades your privacy but can also lead to a complete crash down of your system. |
